Aikido for kids and teenagers

Aikido originated from the martial arts of the samurai. Unlike in martial sports, however, there are no competitions in Aikido – meaning there are no winners or losers.

In training, the children develop a cooperative approach to practicing with a partner. Learning Aikido movements promotes concentration and relaxation skills and strengthens the children's self-confidence. The atmosphere in the dojo is characterized by mutual respect and supports the children's personal development. The falling and rolling techniques help the children protect themselves from everyday dangers as well.

Aikido training is available to children from the age of school enrollment. For older children and teenagers, starting at around 10 years old, we offer a special training session on Thursdays. Boys and girls always train together.
